Candied Date Syrup – Delicious

October 13, 2021 , Date Fruits

Make these Candied dates for your next cookie tray this season without turning the oven on! These absolutely delicious no bake, sugar free treats have all the deliciousness of dates combined with the crunchy texture of Rice Krispies. Coated with walnuts or coconut these incredible treats are sure to be a family favourite.

For this recipe you’ll need: two cups of pitted dates, one cup of sugar, four cups of raspberries, two cups of cranberry juice and one tablespoon of cinnamon. Simply mix all the ingredients together in a food processor until they become completely smooth. Then take your food processor and chop up your walnuts and cranberries until they are the same consistency as those found in a no bake, sugar free dessert.

You then pour your blended cranberry juice, sugar and cinnamon powder into a sauce pan and heat it to boiling. Allow it to steep for around ten minutes. Once it is done you can remove it from the heat and cut it into little pieces. You will now have four cups of a red velvet colour liquid. Mix this with one tablespoon of pure cardamom seeds and one tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice to form a thick paste.

Next you spoon this mixture into your food processor and process it until you have created a paste that is half-filled with the cardamom seeds. Cut this mixture into little pieces and place these small pieces into a sealed packaging. Next you will spoon in your fresh dates and let them soak in the mixture for around an hour. This will give you the best chance of having the most flavour from your pistachios.

Next place your cookie tray into the oven and pop it into the freezer for about an hour. Once this has frozen, take out your chewy cookies and chop them up very finely. Then you spoon in your prepared red velvet syrup and pour this over the top of your freshly made walnut-inspired cookies. Bake these for around twenty minutes. Once they are baked you can remove them from the tray and cut them into little pieces.

Then remove the cookie tray and slice off the center of the candied dates. These will keep their shape and will be ready for use in your next batch of deserts. The other ingredients that you will need for the fourth batch of sweet treats are a teaspoon of ground flax seed oil, a quarter teaspoon of cinnamon, and approximately three to four cups of water. You will also need a pack of raspberries, chopped walnuts or peaches, and a couple of tablespoons of powdered sugar.

Put your ingredients in the blender, and blend together until smooth. Then add in your raspberries and pineapple juice, and start blending this mixture until it is completely smooth. When you have blended all of your ingredients well, pour in your red and white wine, and pour this mixture into your measuring cup, and use this as the base so that you can pour in the candied dates and walnuts. Then pour in your cinnamon and sugar mixture and you have yourself a delicious candy bar.

When it has all cooled off, you can serve it warm from the stove. To serve your candied date syrup, put it in a bowl and add a little bit of water to it so that it does not harden. Then place your candied dates in the syrup and gently swirl the dates around for a few minutes, to allow for the liquid to coat the dates. Then let this cool off, and enjoy. If you store your syrup in a bottle, you can place this in your refrigerator, and just store it there until you are ready to serve it.
